2002-01-20 05:15:00 | Does anyone know how to send (type) an email in another language. I want to send an email to Hungary in Hungarian but am not sure how, other than using the special symbols in Microsoft Word. This takes a long time to type an email of considerable length. There must be a was that I can type in English and Hungarian on the same computer without too much trouble. Does anyone know how? | Guest (0) | |

2002-01-20 06:05:00 | Go to your Help section in Outlook>Help>Contents and Index>Scroll down to Language Encoding and Language Support, what you want is probably in in these two sections. You may need to go to the MS Windows Update Site and download in addition, the correct language support for the language you want if it is not already supported by default in your version of Outlook

2002-01-20 07:24:00 | Thanks, but it does not seem to help me. It was difficult to find the language support(it was bundled with something else)Hungarian does not show up in the encoding menu in Outlook. and does not seem to do much. How can I type with my english keyboard in Hungarian? (Hungarian has various dots and dashes above letters) | Guest (0) | |
2002-01-21 07:40:00 | ...try this: Open the Control Panel > click on 'Add/Remove Programmes' > click 'Windows Set-up' tab (and then wait while the System searches for installed components) > scroll down to 'Multi language Support' and click on it once to highlight > click 'Details' > click once on 'Central European' to highlight it > click 'Okay' > click 'Have Disc'. Insert your Installation Disc in CD-ROM Drive and follow on screen directions. Reboot, done. Hope this helps e_ this will add language support for: Albanian, Czech, Croatian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian - and Hungarian.

2002-01-22 05:59:00 | Bill, I can easily do that. But the problem is that it is very labour intensive as you need to replace each letter that is not on the english keyboard from the symbol set. What I want to do is type in Hungarian with my english keyboard. eg push alt or something with the letter to get an e with two dots above it.
