| 31977 | 2002-01-20 00:20:00 | My HP Pavilion 3216 only runs when hot. To start, leave on for about half an hour then it goes. Alternatively, jam the fan for a while. Solutions? |

| 31979 | 2002-01-20 07:43:00 | I had one like that (computer that is) I had to let it warm up for about 5 mins. then reset, and away she went. When there was about a month left on the warranty, I took it in, it turned out to be the mother board, apparently hundreds of them had been returned. |

| 31981 | 2002-01-21 01:50:00 | Murray What exactly do you mean by 'not starting'? If it doesn't start at all, it can't warm up so something is operating. Does it not boot until warm or what? No point in buying a new PSU if the HDD is shonky or buying a new HDD if your monitor is slow to produce images (and so on). From the sound of it your PSU is running so what happens next and do you have to do anything to get it up or jusr sit and watch it? Cheers Billy 8-{) |
