32380 2002-01-22 07:59:00 Hi,

I am trying to connect to a remote computer (not on home LAN) using nbtstat and NET VIEW but they will not connect unless the computer is within my LAN. I know that it is able to connect to computer over the internet but I am not sure how to do it. Anyone know?

Thanks

32381 2002-01-22 08:47:00 Have a search through past Code Cutter columns, I know Geoff did an article on how to do it a while back. Guest (0)
32382 2002-01-23 01:51:00 Any 'programme' which needs to connect outside the 'home' network needs to know the address(es) of a 'gateway' and probably a DNS. There may be a 'route' table to be set up as well. Guest (0)
