32356 2002-01-22 05:36:00 My father is using my old pentium which is running windows 95. For some reason it wont boot up and comes up with either of the following messages: MIX0014: Low Level driver error or Himem.sys has detected unreliable XMS memory at address 00807E34. XMS driver not installed.

I have tried to boot up using a bootup disk but it still wont do it. It prompts to use safe mode but even if you do this windows won't open. I can get the system to work using DOS and the C prompt but cannot open windows or any windows based programmes. What do you suggest I do?

If it still does not work, try removing one pair of SIMMs at a time.
