| 32326 | 2002-01-22 04:39:00 | I have just stumbled on to morpheus and wondered what the general consensus was. Does it cost to download over an above the registration fee? Is there a site that discusses the pros and cons and informs what its all about ? Thanx D |

| 32328 | 2002-01-22 08:33:00 | Morpheus is great. I have been using it for a while now and its still my main source of music. It is a free service and there is no cost unless you do not have unlimited internet acess, Thats when it can hurt....lol... I usually leave my puter on overnight downloading...this is the best way as it can take a while. A few suggestions. Once you have installed it then go to the options menu and restrict your uploads to 1 and your downloads to 3. This stops people from using all your bandwidth while you try to download. Also take the tick out of the function as supernode box. Have some music available for upload as some people wont let you get theirs unless you have some to share. I recommend AGAINST downloading any images as they quite often turn out to be very illegal in most countries and morpheus is watching. Also leave the software alone as a lot of it is pirate copies and full of backdoors/trojans. But the music is great....I have over a 1000 songs now and growing as I still find more I had forgotten even existed....I got the complete wombles collection last night...yahooooo. |

I have used Morpheus for some time now, have 600 mp3's and find it faster than Napster ever was or anything else Ive tried. You can choose to find more sources to download a particular file from, which speeds up the process. Give it a go. J. |

| 32331 | 2002-01-24 07:59:00 | In the jan/feb edition of imag it had a bit sayin about how some morpheus.com user was faced with a $10,000 bill from it because the cost of the upload traffic was been charged to the original user them, it happened with a jetstream account so i dont know about a normal dial up as I dont use morpheus. (and in the normal bit at the end! I would recomend winMX ) so yeah |
