| 32390 | 2002-01-22 09:41:00 | Hi all.... i was looking at setting up a video conferance for a wedding anniversary until i found out what was involved ($$$), now i am looking at doing it on the cheap, what would i be looking at doing to set up say a webcam or am i wasting my time? thanks johnny |

| 32391 | 2002-01-22 10:58:00 | Johhny, you could look at page62 of sept PCWORLDNZ or oct of Netguide for idea of web cams.Basically eveyone that wanted to be in would need one each for $100 to $400 odd depending on what they wanted but they don't have to have the same cameras. The picture is small and jerky and poor quality. A broadband connection might help a bit but would be impractical for everyone. Then you need the software (no extra cost),Netmeeting and a server to meet on. Only not sure how many people can use it at once. |
