| 32735 | 2002-01-25 01:41:00 | hi does anybody know of a modem string that will disconect the modem from the internet when a phone call comes through. I think there might have been one in Netguide a while back but I missed it thanx in advance |

| 32736 | 2002-01-25 02:06:00 | There isn't one. But if you have callwaiting, just set you computer not to dial *52 (which disables it), and the incoming call my interfere enough for your connection to be dropped. I use Call Minder because it can take messages when the phone line is busy. |

| 32737 | 2002-01-25 04:33:00 | Hi, on the topic of strings sometimes when im dialing up my modem reports no dial-tone, if i pick up the phone there is indeed no tone but after about 5 atempts it will connect, so its definately something to do with the modem not the phone, i have call waiting and minder. is there a command line i could put in to stop this happening, or a setting i should change? | Guest (0) | ||
