32719 2002-01-24 21:42:00 I work on a laptop all day and it gives me neck and shoulder problems. They sit too low on the desk and the screen is not at eye level.Has anyone seen something you can buy to sit the laptop on perhaps higher at the back so the screen sits better at eye level also? Thanks. Guest (0)
32720 2002-01-24 22:55:00 Yep..its called a shelf...seriously. If you use your laptop at a desk all the time take a few measurements ie the height you want it lifted and got to a local cabinetmaker or even try it youself and get them to make up a small shelf/box to sit the laptop on. I have seen a few now and they are very effective. Guest (0)
32721 2002-01-25 02:04:00 Telephone books are the answer (cheaper and more flexible than a shelf).

Pain whilst using a computer is called OOS. The faster you deal with it the less long term damage you cause. Taking asprins and carrying on WILL lead to long term disability!

For a really good bit of information on the correct operation of a computer have a read of the following:

www.osh.dol.govt.nz

(dol is the Dept of Labour). It's quite a big file, and you need Adobe Acrobat Reader, but it has some valuable information.

32723 2002-01-25 03:02:00 Is your laptop capable of being able to display on to a monitor or TV, if so this would be the best way because then you can sit away from the screen and still reach the keyboard.

32724 2002-01-25 04:22:00 ... then add a full size keyboard and you will have a 'Desktop Emulator'. Guest (0)
