32646 2002-01-24 10:20:00 Thanks Susan,

Works great for online Time, however, I am wanting to monitor the amount of bytes sent and received. Rather than manually loggin these before i disconnect.

But - the download is great..thanks

32647 2002-01-26 10:45:00 Hi Kerry

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but the standard System Monitor that comes as an optional extra with Windows 98 can tell you the total bytes sent and received.

First of all, make sure it's there: Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Monitor.

If it's not there you'll have to load it from your Win98 CD. If you need help with that, post back.

Once you've got it: Edit, Add Item, Dial-Up Adapter, then select the last two options.

Change the view to numeric charts and shrink the window out of the way.

32648 2002-01-26 10:59:00 Thanks John,

Sounds like it could be good...but I am on Win XP, and cant seem to find that one. Have gone into windows setup, and it does not show there either?

Do you know if this is a function in Xp?

Thanks

32649 2002-01-27 11:53:00 Zone Alarm does that for me by adding it all up as 'todays traffic', and as long as i don't rebbot my 'today' is often well over a week at a time... it is a round about way, and i cant say for sure that it works OK with dial up, but it would give you enough stats if you wrote them down accationally, to tell you what you need to know!
