1289096 2012-07-17 14:43:00 I've Googled my fingers off trying to find an update for the driver on the Xtreme Sound card .

I had a crash a bit ago, and the results were (via Windows/M$) that it was a driver failure on my sound card .

I opened the properties on the sound card - nada!

I went to the INFO on the sound card control panel and NOTHING matches anything I can find from Diamond's site .

No numbers match, no descriptions match - like I said: "NADA" .

If I provide the codec and some other numbers on the 'INFO' card, can anyone help?

1289097 2012-07-17 21:15:00 Double click on the entry in device manager, Then go to the details tab. Change it to hardware ids. Press ctrl-c to copy one / all of the lines here. Then ctrl-v and paste it in here. Or in Google. See what it says Speedy Gonzales (78)

1289099 2012-07-18 03:57:00 You couldn't find anything because CM18768 is not correct.

It's not ONE it's I (for India)

CMI8768

CMI is always C-Media

If the links 1101 listed don't work, You could try the drivers here: www.cmedia.com.tw

1289101 2012-07-18 04:40:00 I'm having something new now . My WMP is a really shutting down and crashing my outer .

I disconnected my external sound system, tested all the speakers and they are at normal values .

If I turn the speakers/amp ON -- after WMP is running then it's all fine . But if I try to change a song or click on another URL for some streaming radio, I get a black screen, a reboot and a card telling me to report it to M$ . a

The extra info says I have an audio problem .

I'm sure I have only one driver installed, 'cause I bet that would foul things up .

Where's my new 'puter?

1289104 2012-07-18 06:20:00 Maybe you should try one of the newer drivers from the download page, might fix the problem Agent_24 (57)
1289105 2012-07-19 05:22:00 I've given up on WMP - there are other players that do work - well, it is.

They don't have any troubles, just WMP.
