1265256 2012-03-19 05:57:00 This still doesn't explain those who are bi.

It doesn't need to... I would say that just like everyone else, they're just born that way.

1265257 2012-03-19 06:09:00 Not sure about bi, but I know a few that experimented in there 20's, both male and female. I'm sure a lot of it was the loosening of inhibitions when under the influence of substances... plod (107)
1265258 2012-03-19 06:12:00 I'm still not sure where you get the idea that people "choose" to be gay. If you could back that up somehow we might all be a little more enlightened. Are you saying you could switch allegiances just on a whim? Or are you referring to the likes of those (e.g. prisoners) who might engage in homosexual activity out of desperation? Do you consider such people "gay"?
As I stated there wouldn't be a very large number where the hormones are totally screwed up and they are the ones that have no choice.
There are others like Germaine Greer who is Catholic and disliked her mother intensely who has been affected by circumstances but still has a degree of choice and there are teenagers who have experimented or just got involved with a crowd and they have a choice.

If I need to explain it is not worth it.

Surely people should have the freedom to descriminate?...after all, they may have been born that way.:waughh:

That aside, if you are going to choose a person to represent your interests then you
have the right to know what their interests, agenda and lifestyle maybe.

Just like if I were a conservative safety conscience person who believed in saving money and
minimising risk, I wouldn't want to elect a failed financial broker with a
crack habit and a love for whores who wanted to borrow and take risks.

Some of that is his private life, but if they want to represent the public then
that too comes under scrutiny, we are giving these people power that can affect
our livelihood and we have the right to judge their character.

1265263 2012-03-19 08:09:00 Is it really of any concern what an MP's sexual preference is? I couldn't give a **** if they are gay straight or whatever. As long as they do their job who cares. QW. (15883)

Read Metla's post two above and try and understand it.
