1265093 2012-03-24 18:04:00 I scored 9/9 correct.
mmm, I expected perfection from this quarter.

1265095 2012-03-24 20:30:00 Well, so far, so good. Not even a paint scratch.
Tomorrow I may even venture onto the road, rather than just watch traffic cams.

1265096 2012-03-24 20:52:00 It sounds like an unlikely scenario - that an intersection would have lights on only one side.

There are a few types of intersections like this in Hamilton.

3671

The blue circle even though it has a green arrow on the traffic lights, must give way to red circle and can not proceed until no car is waiting to turn left ... In rush hours, it will never gets it turn...

We have one of those here in Richmond too almost identical scenario

Wrong, car turning left is on a controlled intersection so left turning car obeys the sign and not the give way rule

Except for the fact the Red circled car is on a Give Way, so has to wait for the Blue circled car.

Problem however is the Give Way sign is so far away from the intersection that any strangers in the position of the Blue circled car will have no idea there is a Give Way acting in their favour.

I do expect numerous instances though where we do see cars stranded in the middle of the road never getting a clear opportunity to make their turn to the right. It's an even greater worry for people on motorbikes, who will have traffic either side of them trying to squeeze through as if they were not even there.
