There are a few types of intersections like this in Hamilton. 3671 The blue circle even though it has a green arrow on the traffic lights, must give way to red circle and can not proceed until no car is waiting to turn left ... In rush hours, it will never gets it turn... |

In rush hours, it will never gets it turn... Except for the fact the Red circled car is on a Give Way, so has to wait for the Blue circled car. Problem however is the Give Way sign is so far away from the intersection that any strangers in the position of the Blue circled car will have no idea there is a Give Way acting in their favour. I do expect numerous instances though where we do see cars stranded in the middle of the road never getting a clear opportunity to make their turn to the right. It's an even greater worry for people on motorbikes, who will have traffic either side of them trying to squeeze through as if they were not even there. |
