Well, we do the same, turning it off at night. But, we don't do it to save power, but find otherwise it won't work in the morning without being turned off/on again. Any ideas why?

Probably not a lot saved but if you start multiplying things (eg world wide) it becomes a very large amount.
The trouble with you young wipper snappers is you don´t understand the penny saved principal.:D
