1265938 2012-03-20 18:40:00 I am an IE 9 chap.

Found Chrome had a mind of it's own and this will not do when it is mine that is supposed to be in charge.

1265939 2012-03-20 19:02:00 Ditched firefox a year or so ago for chrome. FF was too resource heavy (I think they fixed that though, never bothered to check) and it became very cluttered.

Chrome is faster at rendering pages and websites display correctly. Also, it doesn't fail to run plugins like IE.

After using chome I'm not going back for a while.

1265940 2012-03-20 19:23:00 There is very little difference in the performance of the different browsers these days. They all work and do the job.
I use Safari, IE Firefox and Chrome and speed is a relative thing. It depends on the website how fast it loads. There is no clear winner when you consider page loading times, even IE will come out on top many times.

With me it is more the speed of my ADSL connection than the speed of the browser.
