Germany did pay reparations for WW1, whether NZ got any of it I do not know. Which is what led to WW2... WW2 reparations were also made to the Soviets. I don't believe the allies asked for anything. The Soviets took complete factories and their workers back to Russia if thats not reparations I dont know what is. Plus they grabbed East Germany. Still waiting for my reparation cheque from Germany, Hungary, Romania and Japan.	prefect (6291)

1265624	2012-03-19 23:08:00	Its not only the stuff that he wants back. But the Feds and the NZ police have basically stuffed his business. Justice should be much quicker. Its going to take till August to hear his extradition order. (Why ?) Then it will take a while for the feds to bring him to court in the USA. Suppose he is found not guilty. Then he will find it very hard to re-establish his business, as others may have taken his place. (That said he is probably guilty) But I always think is, what if it was me, and what if I was not guilty ?	Digby (677)

The Boer War was between the British and the Dutch/German settlers who happened to be sitting on a heap of gold. In true arrogant British fashion they imagined that they were entitled to the gold. Needless to say, the Boers thought otherwise. Of course all the sheep from the 'Colony's' felt it was their duty to horn in. As for the British, they rounded up all the Boer women and children and put them in a concentration camp where about 3,000 women and children died from disease and starvation. If there are any reparations for Boer war, it should be to the Boers, made by the British and its acolytes, Kiwis, Maoris, etc.	mzee (3324)
