| 1265432 | 2012-03-16 20:25:00 | What ads??? Am I missing something? The big one on the right shows a rolling ad, and its a link another page. If I came across this, as a 404 I would simply back out. Only negative comment -- the actual 404 error is partly covered, its not a "in your face" error, the rolling ad actually tends to draw your attention away, I'd remove it completely. Generally error pages dont have much in the way of content :2cents: |

| 1265436 | 2012-03-17 09:04:00 | Too much pointless distraction, by the time I've worked out that it's an error page not a 5-year-olds scrapbook I've forgotten what I wanted to find on your site & closed the tab. Can't read the text on the rolling customer feedback tab so why bother having it? Make some easy-to-click back or home buttons or something - yes, I know the back button on the browser is easy but to a lot of people if it ain't on the webpage itself, it ain't gonna be clicked. While I think I see what the aim was here, at the end of the day it comes across as simply wanting an excuse to use those Tumbeast pictures, rather than wanting to make your 404 page more user-friendly. If you're going to make a fairly non-standard 404 page, it needs to be entertaining, or user-friendly, or ideally both. This is neither, it's just distracting. |
