1265564 2012-03-17 20:33:00 It is apparent an efficiency expert should be brought in to sort out the procedures in this undertaking (www.nzherald.co.nz). Using 60,000 people to do what one kid on a tricycle could manage happily on their own is just make-work (or two kids if it MUST be a race), more suited to bums-on-seats antics in parliament. ;) R2x1 (4628)
1265565 2012-03-18 20:24:00 I agree it is a shocking waste of resources and the government should look at doing something about it, i thought this Super City act was supposed to get rid of all the old inefficencies.
I would suggest that we need to set up a working party to study the feasibility of setting up an enquiry into this, of course we would need to have Iwi consultation and an environmental impact report done about the effects the tikes will have on our roads, not to mention consulting with the Lesbian, Gay and trans gender community about the sexual orientation of the toddlers, and Jan De'bries and Hone Harawira about the ethnic make-up of the toddlers, as well as consult child psychologists about whether a race or competition is a good idea in terms of self esteem for the toddlers. And of course we need to look at the effects on property values of the houses on the route as these kids toottle along, and also we will need to consult with grey power about whether it is ageist and whether mobility scooters, and daihatsu's with the left indicator permanantly blinking should also be allowed to compete.

So I am looking forward to the next one, should be able to see it with my grandkids in 2040.
