33052 2002-01-27 07:42:00 With reference to earlier posting of password protecting folders....Can I do it with OS Windows98 SE?
I had a look at the site recommended by Alan but hoping I don't need to get that. I just have a folder in My Documents I would like to protect.

Thanks in Advance...

If you dont get any other offers, and get stuck, email me at gramemc@i4free.co.nz and I'll give you a hand with Alans suggestion.

33054 2002-01-27 09:21:00 What sort of folder is it??...If its not a system folder but just has some bits and pieces you dont want others having a nosey through then just do what I do and use a zip program. Most zip programs have an add password feature so its fairly secure and also a bit smaller on your drive. Guest (0)
33055 2002-01-27 09:40:00 The answer to your question is no, you cannot password protect your folders in Win 98SE. You need to use a third-party utility like the one mentioned, or else do what dippy does with the Zip files (good one, dippy!). Guest (0)
