| 33016 | 2002-01-26 22:48:00 | I frequently Ghost back over my drive and upon the first reboot I get the '....finished installing new devices, reboot'. How do I tell which device is being restalled? Why does it only do it after a Ghost Image has been put back? Does not do it on normal cold boot. OS = W2K Original Ghost = Disk to Image and contains all devices in working order. Ghosting back = Disk image to disk. Checking Device manager after the Ghost but before the requested reboot shows all devices okay in Device Manager. None of the other devices require a restart after this operation. Anyone have some ideas what might be causing this? Its a bit annoying as it requires an extra operation after Ghosting. If I don't do the reboot it comes up eavery time until I do it. It also seems that I have to a cold reboot to stop it. Thanks Sergio |

| 33018 | 2002-01-26 23:45:00 | Had you installed any new hardware sice the point that you made the Ghost image. Because it could be a new device that has been installed since then. If it really bugging you, you could always create another Ghost image after the new device has been installed. JM |

| 33019 | 2002-01-27 19:33:00 | Ian: I do a lot of Beta testing and need a clean image to work from, hence the regular Ghosting. JM: No new devices installed between Ghosts. I suspect its being caused by devices attached to USB's, possible a Memory Stick reader, tried 3 different readers and all do the same. Remove reader and goes away/!?!? Sergio |
