32926 2002-01-26 09:55:00 Hi, I find that I can use JV Powertools, aftwer which Toniarts EasyCleaner will still pick up stuff which can be removed, and after that so will Microsoft RegClean. Is there a registry cleaner that will do it all?

32927 2002-01-26 10:21:00 The one that I use is RegVac, its shareware, register after 30days. Its really good, scans and cleans in 2 options: novice and advanced respectively. Also has 'vac bag' which reverses the previous process. Thats just my pick anywho

32930 2002-01-27 05:19:00 Hi , I use ashampoo download from cnet, its shareware but brilliant for someone like me who doesnt follow all the jive about hkey etc. It backs up itself and cleans c drive and backs up and cleans registry . Good luck with the others. Guest (0)
32931 2002-01-27 07:56:00 Hi JM, I think it's probable, even most likely that different registry cleaners use different rules for deciding which entries are invalid, and this is why after using one, another will still produce more invalid entries.
It's probably not too serious as they should all agree on major errors.
So to get the utmost clean (sounds like a washing powder), it may be a good idea to use 2 or 3 cleaners.

I gave up on MS Regclean back in the days of Netscape 3 and Win95, as it removed Preferences from the registry, and crippled Netscape, deliberately? I dont know. Also it didnt tell you what it was doing, or give you any options.
