| 33230 | 2002-01-28 10:11:00 | Temporary Internet Files??? I have gone back to Win ME after playing with XP and now I remember 1 little bug that annoys the crap out of me. Everytime I work with an image file it saves it to the Temporary Internet Files. Eg: click save as, choose a format..browse to a location like my docs and then save...sure enough go and look for it there and its not there...it's in the Temporary Internet Files. It does this with every image editing app I use Photoshop 6, Photopaint 7, PhotoImpact 7 even the photo editor with office. Any Ideas?? I am running a clean install of ME with all updates IE6 etc |

I use the photo editor from Office 2000... |

Did a search for files to confirm the location of the last several images that I have been working on and they are all where they are supposed to be, did a manual search through Temp Internet and it's sub folders and they were not there. Even after using word 2000, it does not save to that folder.....on this computer. Strange that. |

Its gotta be something to do with your setup, as I can direct saves to anywhere I like. Dont forget that 'My Doccuments' subdivides into 'My Music - My Pictures - My Videos and My Webs'. Try directing a save to 'My Pictures' and see what happens. Wonder if it's some sort of throughback to XP having been previously installed. |

I mean, did you actually buy it then chuck it in the cupboard when you didn't like it, or what? Regarding saved file locations, in my Paintshop Pro options I can tell the program where to default to save my files, so maybe you could find something similar with your program settings? |

To Susan: XP is sitting in the drawer until they can find a cure for the BSOD with 3d gaming, I loved it as an OS apart from it's extreme instability with gaming. Ah, maybe one day there will be a cure?? Thanks Everyone |
