33351 2002-01-29 08:36:00 When I try to use the Spellcheck on a Word document, I get the following ! message < The spelling and grammar check is complete. Text set to (no proofing) was skipped. To find (no proofing)text, Click 'Edit/Replace', click 'More', Click 'Format', Click'Language' and choose 'No Proofing'>
Of course the check is not complete. It hasn't even started. I followed the instructions in the message but no difference. I haven't altered any settings but prior to the problem I had some documents open then a freeze.Nothing responded to ALT/CNTRL/DEL so I closed down and rebooted. Whether this improper close down has done something I don't know. any suggestions to get out of this minor mess ?

33352 2002-01-29 09:35:00 The Default for word is to spell and grammer check on the fly thats what the red and green squigly lines mean you may have this turned off check in the Tools/options/spelling and grammer menu trail Guest (0)
33353 2002-01-29 10:25:00 Thanks B.G but it's not turned off and the default language and custom dictionary are both set to N.Z. English as they were before the troble began Guest (0)
