| 33323 | 2002-01-29 02:39:00 | Hi Team I think my computer suffers when I neglect it and decides to cause me grief! I've been off for a short holiday up North and on my return Outlook 2000 refuses to display the download pane when I click on send/receive. I used to be able to watch it work its way through my various email accounts and those of my family but that display no longer appears and all I see is a small 'receiving mail' message down by the clock. I searched Outlook Help until all the benefits of my holiday were gone and my blood pressure went back to pre-holiday levels but couldn't find the answer. Where did Bill hide this feature and what do I do to get it back? Cheers Billy 8-{( |

Click on send/receive and Outlook will attempt to connect to email server or dial up. 3. If it pop up the dial up window, cick on cancel. 4. Now you will find the error message on the status bar bottom right side. 5. Right Click on it and select ('details' I think?) 6. When the details window appear, remove the tick from 'Always hide this dialog' There! Clear as mud. oh yeah, plug the network/modem cable back after this :) |

I didn't need to unplug the connection, as ever when the shrunken details were present there was an arrow head to click on to maximise the hiden display. I cleared the 'always hide this dialog' box and there we were! Thanks for your help. Billy 8-{) |
