| 33538 | 2002-01-30 07:44:00 | I am mystified why my 'old girl', a 486 with Win95 and 2x cd-rom drive, can't/won't read the CD-R disk that I made on the younger machine with the cd writer. I thought it was only the CD-RW disks that old cd-rom drives refused to play with. Would anyone like to explain? Thanks!! |

If so, then perhaps you should try re-burning the disk, and/or using a different brand of Disk. I have known many old CDROM Drives (around the 8-12X mark) to have endless problems with copied CD's. It seems that a newer drive, or a different type of disk is required... Oh, and something else, is the disk a 700MB version? If so I'd say it's a darn site too modern for your PC, and you should downgrade to 650's If of course your computer is not female, then I'm lost as to what to do, as I'm sure it won't spill it's emotions on you... Hope that helps :) the FAT man |
