| 33413 | 2002-01-29 09:47:00 | Hi my old spare pc p90 win 98 got infected with boot virus junkie cleaned it off reformated and paritioned it wasn't working in the spare pc. tryed it in my good pc works fine so i tryed the hdd from the good pc to the spare pc and hey it doesn't work the spare pc was working fine before the virus bios infected? perhaps thanks Terry | Guest (0) | ||

| 33415 | 2002-01-29 11:00:00 | if you go into the setup of the bios you should be able to see what the primary IDE device is set for. some bios will auto-detect the harddrive size. if you can't get it bios to see the hard drive you could have a dud motherboard. | Guest (0) | ||
| 33416 | 2002-01-30 03:12:00 | Ahem, '... reformatted and partitioned ...'. A newly partitioned disk needs to have the new partition(s) formatted before it will 'work'. Just one of those little 'hindsight is perfect' things. Don't worry, you're not the first to have done that. You won't be the last. |
