| 33329 | 2002-01-29 03:47:00 | I was typing a URL into the address bar (IE5.5,SP2, Win' 98) when I noticed the auto-complete feature kick-in. Now there is nothing wrong with this except that I'd just cleared my 'History' both manually(deleting everything under C:\windows\history) and thru the 'Tools' menu in IE. I repeated the procedure & even cleaned the cache, offline content, temp directory & cookies, but to no avail. I 'repaired' IE as well, again no use. This happens for only a few url's strangely enough; if you click the 'History' button within IE it's empty, yet these few url's still autocomplete. Any help/ideas would be much appreciated !! - Amit |
