| 33769 | 2002-01-31 20:05:00 | Due to my home office being inbetween two bedrooms of later risers than myself and seeing as I check my emails early every morning could somebody PLEASE tell me if there is a way to turn down or turn of the pc speaker? I haven't heard one noise that I either like or need. Thanks, William M |

Assuming you're using Windows, go into your modem settings (via control panel) - under properties you'll find an advanced option - in Extra Settings type in M0 (M zero) to turn sound off, or M1 to M3 for a lower volume. T his cure also assumes your modem supports these commands. It'd be easier to give a more accurate resonse if you'd supplied your system info. Hope this helps. |
