33568	2002-01-30 10:40:00	I have recently installed an internal modem to replace old external modem. I now however find that every time i go to start up the internet my mouse locks up and when i desconnect the mouse works again. Obviosly theres a resource conflict, the problem is when i try to change the IRQ, for either device, to a non conflicting address, in the device manager, that device will no longer work. Any advice would be much appreciated.	Guest (0)
33569	2002-01-30 11:11:00	What Operating System are you running and what type of mouse do you have? A P/S2 or USB doesn't use an IRQ that your modem would use. If your mouse is a serial mouse then it might be the problem conflicting with the modem. I am just wondering if you made sure your internet connection uses the new modem installed and not your old modem.	Guest (0)
33570	2002-01-31 04:38:00	It's probably a problem with the mouse on COM1:, (which uses IRQ4) and the internal modem being assigned to COM3: (which also uses IRQ4). Can you change the pseudo COM port to COM4: (IRQ3) ? Your external modem was probably on COM2: (IRQ3).	Guest (0)
33571	2002-01-31 21:04:00	Alternatively, use your keyboard to navigate the net. <Alt> and back arrow return to the previous page, <Tab> hops forward between links, <Shift><Tab> hops backwards between links. <ctrl><tab> switches between address bar and body. One of my favourites for filling in a form (say on a search engine where you've previously typed the keywords)is to type the first letter then arrow down to the words you want then press <Tab>. When you've tabbed to the submit button press <enter> (Actually, above suggestion can be EXTREMLY painful for a permanent solution - but they are handy to know)	Guest (0)
