| 33544 | 2002-01-30 09:32:00 | Running WinXP Home edition and OE6. My email password won't stay in (yes, I have ticked the 'remember password' box). Contacted my ISP and they were puzzled as well. Anyone come across this before? It connects to mail server, but I get a second dialogue box asking for my password again before I can send or receive mail. | Guest (0) | ||
| 33545 | 2002-01-30 11:14:00 | I got something similar with 98 machine that was networked. On logging on if the network password wasn't used ie just hit cancel, then when anyone tried to go online they were asked for the password again before you could connect to the net. Don't know why or what to do but maybe it's another clue. | Guest (0) | ||
| 33546 | 2002-01-30 11:28:00 | Hi K P. I get that every now and then with my OE6. When I get it, I can't get rid of it. If I reboot, all's fine after that. Funny eh? If it goes away after reboot and only happens occassionally(?) I wouldn't worry too much. Cheers. |

| 33547 | 2002-01-30 11:32:00 | I have come across this problem in W98 before. I believe it is a security feature. If you were to use a password when you initially logon to XP I think the P/W would stay. Do you have a logon password when booting your PC into XP? Probably not I would say. I had a really good P/W. I used: 1. Hard to forget :-) | Guest (0) | ||
