| 33568 | 2002-01-30 10:40:00 | I have recently installed an internal modem to replace old external modem. I now however find that every time i go to start up the internet my mouse locks up and when i desconnect the mouse works again. Obviosly theres a resource conflict, the problem is when i try to change the IRQ, for either device, to a non conflicting address, in the device manager, that device will no longer work. Any advice would be much appreciated. | Guest (0) | ||

If your mouse is a serial mouse then it might be the problem conflicting with the modem. I am just wondering if you made sure your internet connection uses the new modem installed and not your old modem. |

One of my favourites for filling in a form (say on a search engine where you've previously typed the keywords)is to type the first letter then arrow down to the words you want then press <Tab>. When you've tabbed to the submit button press <enter> (Actually, above suggestion can be EXTREMLY painful for a permanent solution - but they are handy to know) |
