| 33802 | 2002-02-01 00:24:00 | Is anyone else having trouble with the email notifications from this site? Today I got three notifications at once for the one reply to a posting I'd made, then I got two more for another posting, and another one for a posting I did not ask for notification if there was a response! Plus, if I try opening them, they cause Outlook to close. Any advice? | Guest (0) | ||

| 33804 | 2002-02-01 02:27:00 | I don't really know if I'm having trouble with my notifications because my inbox is nearly always full of them. Sometimes I see replies that I haven't been notified of, however, so I guess that counts. BTW, the notifications that I got from your replies to my posts are useless -- I click on them in my inbox and get taken to the thread but neither your posts or mine are visible. I have to do a search on Press F1 to find the thread before they show up. Now *that's* weird! |

Two emails saying you had responded, and two saying Susan B had, lol. I do however, get to the right place if I click the link. Maybe linked to a problem a while back where we were receiving notifications after *every* reply to a thread, not just our own. Also, at that time, the email addresses of the other respondents was shown, at least they have fixed that! J. |

What I really want to know is, they say at the top of the postings page that you can win rewards etc - has anyone here ever won anything? I get the feeling that most people on this site aren't here for the possible pressies anyway. I have found it a very useful place to be to watch and learn and get help when you need it. Kinda like the old-fashioned kind of street where the neighbours all pop over to borrow a cup of sugar... | Guest (0) | ||

I went offline, came back online again and guess what? They're back....! The very same notifications! Wish this would happen with my deposits at the bank... | Guest (0) | ||
