33894 2002-02-01 07:34:00 I would like to draw on the collective wisdom of this site to see what people think about pasword managers.

I guess like most others who frequent PressF1, over time,I have gathered an impressive array of passwords, as I roam the streets and highways of the internet. I do have a manager at present - like- you should see the bits of sticky paper glued to the bottom of my keyboard <BG>.

A search of Google will reveal heaps of them, varying from freebies to paybies.

But are they a good thing? What about all this info located in one spot,(not that it isn't on the keyboard!).
Presuming for the moment that it is not such a bad thing, what should I look out for when checking them out, i.e what are the good and bad points I should be looking for.

Oh yes, bye the way, my thanks to all who have replied and given advice to the various posts I have made over the past few weeks. Though I have tried to reply with thanks, nevertheless I do find it hard to keep track of things on this site. So if I missed expressing my thanks to you then I am sorry, but still greatful :-)

I can't really elaborate any more on that :)

33896 2002-02-01 15:36:00 Hi Ian

I never use auto complete, forms or a p/word manager. I write my p/words down. It gets a bit tiresome at times but a wee bit of paranoia can get you by out there.

See theads below re spam. I get very little although, I think having Paradise as an ISP helps there also.

So keep your cheeks clenched and practise your typing.

Staying out of trouble (I think) Murray
