34107 2002-02-03 03:32:00 I used to be able to double click on my icons within desktop to launch Interenet Explorer or alternativey Outlook, and this would automatically call up the internet dial-up details so that I could enter my password.

Recently this feature failed, for no apparent reason, and I am unable to reset it. Despite going into the Connections tab of Internet Options and tagging the 'Always dial my default connection', the system always reverts to 'Never dial a connection' when I shut my system down and restart again.

How do I overcome this?

34108 2002-02-03 07:12:00 Did you click on OK, after you change the setting.

I had a friend who kept changing it, then clicked on the cross to close the box, and of course that won't save the setting.

Also you don't have to enter your password every time, Windows can be made to remember it.

34109 2002-02-03 09:56:00 Have clicked the OK. The setting changes until shutdown, then reverts to pr change.

Am aware that I don't have to enter the password every time but prefer the security.
