| 34141 | 2002-02-03 08:41:00 | I get standby-shut-down every 2-3 mins, if I dont move my mouse. 'It' ignores my Control Panel Power Management panel settings. I know it can be cured, as on startup, once, Mr microsoft offered to turn the stanby off, which I gladly accepted. However, I needed to re-install Win setup, which reverted it back to intrusive unavoidible reversion to standby-closedown. It's not only a pain, but Nortons System Doctor indicates zero swap-file size after, and I suspect it runs slower Any suggestions other than spending 1/2 day letting it revert to standby, and pouncing on the space-bar to restart, repeatedly, soas to trigger Mr microsofts kind offer again ? |
