| 34014 | 2002-02-02 09:51:00 | When did this message happen? As soon as you turned your computer on and got into windows? These things can be serious but also it can just be a practical joke played by someone who uses the same computer as you. You could possibly have a batch file being executed deleting files that are not going to do harm to your system. Like a batch file to clean your temp files or index.dat files. A executable program could have been created to display this as a joke and not really deleting anything but making the person think something happened. But a hacker? I have to say that this 'hacker' would be some type of kid then who is trying out his new programs he found on the net and somehow got you to test run it for him. To make yourself a less likely target you should be running a Firewall and have an antivirus running in the background. It could be a virus. |
