2002-02-05 13:45:00 | Hi there Susan B. As far as I know if there is a 1MB limit on Email anything over that gets dropped. I don't know what would happen with a single Email over a meg. 1MB is sod all in this day and age as you would have to make sure all the emails you received were in the text format and as you said you couldn't go away for a two week holiday without connecting. | Guest (0) | |
2002-02-05 19:18:00 | Having the ability to have five names is very handy I suppose if you are Schizophrenic, The following is what I one found on a answer machine; Hello you have just dialled the Psychiatric hot-line If you are Obsessive, Compulsive.... press 1 repeatedly If you are Co-dependant.... Please ask some else to press 2 If you have multiple personally.... press 3, 4, 5, & 6 If you are Schizophrenic.... Listen very carefully, your little voice will tell you which number to press. If you are paranoid.... We know who you are and what your after, just hold on the line, while we will have the number traced. If you are Manic depressive.... It does not matter which number you press nobody will answer you. And I just realized, I have never seen 'Polly See' make a posting at this F1 site, I just wonder is she computer literate?.

2002-02-05 22:24:00 | my 2 cents worth everyone; been with paradise since June 99. Have received dozens of e-mails over 1meg size in that time (even some over 3 meg from memory!), so as far as I know there is no limit there. Reliability, only had a couple of connection problems, probably related to Telecom. Have only had to ring service desk once (after a reformat I couldn't find the dial up no.!) Had about a 15 min wait on phone...not great. I remember when I joined, immediate contact on the phone, bit I spose like any company helpline, once they become popular (or have a monopoly) quick & reliable helplines go out the window (eg.phone & power co's etc)Connections have been ok, mostly getting 49333 now, although 6 or more month ago always got 50667. Anyway, that my 2 cents worth. HIH

As long as the mailbox is cleared relatively regularly this limit is just a number and is not strictly enforced, so you will always get your mail. | Guest (0) | ||
2002-02-07 04:06:00 | i left ihug-ultra to get cable internet with paradise/telstra/whatever they call themselves this week.... NO REGRETS! the cost dropped, the perforamnced increased dramaticly, my machine stopped being slowed down by the sattalite card, and my data quota went whey up! Reliability? excellant! 'Allways on' has proven to mean exactly that, once and only once i had a breif problem receiving mail, and i have yet to find their newsservers down. As long as telecom are out of the chain, as they are for me in chch, all is reliable... VERY RELIABLE!

2002-02-07 04:15:00 | paradise is great, i left ihug-ultra mid last year and promptly experianced a better connection by far with a minamam peed cable connection through paradise/telstra/whatever they are this week. Without having telecon in the chain i have had 100% continuis connection, the only problem i have had with paradises system, is that once, very breifly, i was unable to pick up my email of paradises server... right now i am connected on a freinds computer in greymouth through 'snap' which is the new name for inet/minidata THESE guys suck! i am so glad for my paradise connection! | Guest (0) | |
