| 34778 | 2002-02-07 08:27:00 | I have a 4086 with an NEC pinwriter P5200. It has always printed from Word etc with no problems. However I have recently joined the Internet and when I print from this (or a recently acquired Encarta CD-ROM) there are vertical black lines at the end of each line of print. ?why ? I can do anything about this. |

This 'black line' ... is this a straight line down the righthand side?, both sides?, ragged line of bars after the last character of each line? Are characters missing at the end of printed lines? I thought for a moment it might be the graphics rendering of the linefeed control character, but that should not be printed -- it would give you double spacing if the printer is set to 'Auto LF on CR'. Need more information ... Operating system, browser. The Pinwriter is a nice printer; if it works in Windows, it ought to behave itself in a browser under Windows, and also with Encarta. Puzzling, so far. |

If the article/letter was short, the line continued down the page on the left side margin. I use Internet Explorer. It didn't matter which search engine I used, the lines were always present. There was never any problem with characters or spacing. |
