| 34719 | 2002-02-07 01:29:00 | I know Jetstart isn't exactly the fasted at the best of times this is getting beyond a joke. Whenever I download a file using either WinMx or Morpheous, I seem to only ever reach a max of 1K/s, regarless of how many parallel streams I start. A couple of months ago, getting a full 16k/s was easy. This in itself is not so much the problem, BUT when I log in using a Paradise.net account, I get 16k/s no problems, and from the same server!!! Back to xtra and its down to 1k again. Whats going on?!? I've asked Xtra if they are capping downloads but they don't resond to my emails. Has anybody else experienced this? |

| 34723 | 2002-02-11 02:35:00 | The solution is simple: Change your ISP to Paradise, permanently & drop XTRA completely, they are nothing but TOTALLY HOPELESS!! No surprises about them not answering your emails, as this goes with their service (totally useless service). This problem is well known, XTRA done the same thing when Napster was around. Paradise is way better. |

| 34725 | 2002-02-13 08:41:00 | Same here. Got a reply out of Telecom but they deny any knowledge as Jetstart is it's own entity now. What really pisses me off about all this is that I have uploads disabled to comply with their T&Cs so I'm not actng as a server right? So anyway, my connections are still less than 1k/s. Out of curiosity I enabled uploads and they race along at 6-7K sometimes!!! WTF??! That is so sad Xtra. I'm leaving upoads enabled, at least that way someone is making use of the 128kbit connection I'm paying for. *off to complain some more* |
