| 34845 | 2002-02-07 23:49:00 | I recently downloaded Betrayal at Krondor from the underdogs.org. It wont work in Windows ME mode, so i made a boot disk from control panel , to get to MS DOS mode. However the game says it does not have enough extended memory. I however do, according to mem /c /p, as i have over 250 MB of extended memory. I think that this is because Windows ME co ordinated the extended memory itself, rather than Himem.sys. please help me. I use Windows ME, i have 256 mg of ram, an athon 1400, and a 40 gb hard disk. |

If you've got a set of DOS disks you can install it to a floppy. Then 'memmaker' will adjust the memory for you. (You can download DRDos free). One game I got going in the DOS window of ME was 'Heart of China'. I had to set it to use the CPU speaker as sound, because it could not recognise the onboard PCI sound. |
