| 34942 | 2002-02-08 19:42:00 | Hi Problem - no audio with W/ Media Player- latest version I've done the following 1. Uninstalled it and downloaded it again 2. Reinstalled Windows 98 SE 3. Put into Regbup Folder, Back ups of both System and User .dat files - Still no sound. Apart from no sound its working .I can see the gizmo moving along progressively as it's playing tracks. No problem on the PC with sound per se. I can play a CD from the accessories CD player with perfect sound it is just this software. Any other suggestions would be welcome.thanks |

Also there is a mute button near the scrolling progress bar, have you checked that this is not turned on? Adjust the internal volume in Media Player and see if that makes a difference. |

I was only working from my speaker vol controls and didn't realise there was an internal volume control. There it was staring at me. Incidentally I can't find the mute button you mention only close and minimize buttons. Thanks a lot; appreciate your help :-) Bry |
