2012-03-26 05:37:00 | As most of you know I have a new computer, see sig. OK I have a few people interested in my old one but don't know how much to ask for it, so what do you think it is worth. Motherboard : Asus P5N-EM HDMI. PCIe slot doesn't work (reason I got rid of it). Integrated graphics work ok. Intel 6850 core2 duo processor 3.0ghz. 4gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2 Ram. Enermax Liberty 500watt PSU. Asus DVD/CD rom drive. Thermaltake Soprano Dx VE7000 Case. 200gig formatted hard-drive. OS Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade with both 32 and 64 bit versions. :)

2012-03-26 06:00:00 | Rule of thumb, when brand new it's now worth 70% of it's retail cost. Then Depreciate it at 25% each year of it's life. Why did you do that? You could have just upgraded it. Enermax Liberty 500watt PSU. Asus DVD/CD rom drive. Thermaltake Soprano Dx VE7000 Case. 200gig formatted hard-drive. Those bit's would have been fine, just add another HDD...

2012-03-27 01:30:00 | What happened was I bought a GTX 560 TI graphics card to replace my not working GF 8800GTS. When I got the new card and put it into the computer it wouldn't work either. Got a lend of another going PCIe graphics card and that wouldn't work as will, so by that we determined that the PCIe slot was stuffed. I then looked on the GTX 560 box and it said that I needed a PSU of 550 watts to run card. So when I put the cost of a new motherboard, Graphics card, ram, cpu and psu altogether and for another couple of hundred dollars I could have a new computer. The new case is a Lancool PC-K62, very nice. www.lancoolpc.com Anyway I buy a new computer every 4 or 5 years. Had the other one for 3 and a half years. :)

2012-03-27 02:23:00 | Oh, like the case !! Nice one Trev. - Not so much the exterior looks, but I like the internal layout - although I still like PSU's at the top but realise all cases, or most, are now coming out with them below now and it is a better use of space having them below I think. But yes, really good layout, lots of room, easy access, good ventilation (first time I have seen vented PCI slot brackets), liquid cooler holes, they have thought it through well. What did it cost - if you dont mind me asking? | Iantech (16386) | |
2012-03-27 02:32:00 | Not at all. This www.computerlounge.co.nz less the graphics card and psu. I bought a GTX 560 TI from Ascent for $360 and a Corsair 650watt TXM650 from Computer Lounge for $169 so you can add that to the other price less the psu and graphics card. :)

2012-03-27 03:33:00 | I would have guessed in the $250-400 range but having a faulty motherboard makes it a tough sell, I know I personally wouldn't buy it unless I had something similar I needed parts for. How I usually work it out is price the nearest new equivalents and halve it. If it's quite new or has rare parts maybe a bit more, if it's more than 18 months to 2yrs old then I take whatever I can get :) New you'd be competing with something like; Pentium G840 $130 H61 MB $100 4GB RAM $50 Case + PSU ~ $200 DVD $40 windows 7 OEM $152 Which is $670 brand new and would be very close in performance.

2012-03-27 05:54:00 | Off the top of my head maybe $300 or maybe up to $400 if under a auctions for those reasons when people are unaware ... Why didn't you keep the PSU the chassis and the OS for your new PC?? Sold the other bits as parts. | Nomad (952) | |
2012-03-27 06:17:00 | I didn't keep my 500 watt psu because the new graphics card required a 550 watt one. Read my thread about graphics card failure a couple of weeks ago. :)
