They have been coming to NZ for mountain warfare exercises for a long, long time. Then dropping nukes on people..... Go look at the casualty statistics for the fire-bombings both in Japan and in Germany. Those nukes were humane, much more so than what the Japs did in China. |

I forgotten his name but there was even a German flying a Sky Raider for the USN off a carrier he was shot down and captured. Now someone tell me Germany was fighting in Vietnam too. There were Germans fighting in Vietnam in the 50s for the French mainly ex SS men. |

Dunno, history is written by the winners, seen a few docos on it, they were losing already, yes they were persistent, but as to whether it was necessary to drop 2 on the cities is another thing. Still history is history and no-one will know now. And it's pretty sickening really, humans penchant for mistreating each other and the justifications they come with for it. |

For the simple reason that they carried out a sneak attack at Pearl Harbour, they deserved everything they got. I think they got away quite lucky, if I was in charge I would have flattened tokio with nukes and turned a deaf ear to any surrendering until every main jap city was as flat as a car park. Countries like this need to be taught a lesson |
