| 1290882 | 2012-07-26 07:53:00 | The Windows 7 Backup and Restore makes a system image (if you want) or just backs up selects drives and folders. Its really easy to use and doesn't slow down your system a huge amount. Plus you don't need to install any software to restore your backup. | jonovw (16835) | ||
| 1290883 | 2012-07-27 03:10:00 | As psycik mentioned, try looking at the format on the USB, just did a 3GB backup to a 8GB USB NTFS drive no problems. Dunno why I have never had it work well. The 4 GB USB stick is NTFS. Tried backing up a 2.3GB mpg file. Took a few min for the shadow copy then about 15 to copy to the zip file then it went into the file splitting routine and bombed as usual with out of space error. It has never done anything different with me. The zip file had the mpg in it so what is it doing after that with the splitting crap?? |

| 1290885 | 2012-07-27 10:55:00 | + 1 for Syncback. Awesome features for backup and syncronisation including syncing / backing up to an ftp account... | Wiseguys (16850) | ||
| 1290886 | 2012-07-28 00:17:00 | I find Acronis True Image is a good program, if you're willing to pay, but I'm sure there are better free ones out there. | skeptile2 (16539) | ||
| 1290887 | 2012-07-28 06:00:00 | But then I'm paranoid... :D A paranoid psychic is a real worry, if anybody could predict a problem and take suitable precautions I would have thought psychics would top the list! D Cheers Billy 8-{) :devil |

Works nice, and the free version does the job. |

I personally prefer to use Praetorian Guard for my PCs. I am very pleased because I can manage the backup centrally and to make full and folder backup with it. It’s not free but it is affordable. |
