| 1290735 | 2012-07-25 11:21:00 | I've been reading a bit about some schools, I think there's one in Nelson, and another in Orewa. In Orewa they have to use the iPad (Probably a higher echelon school where they can get away with mandating that), whereas the one in Nelson is actively encouraging a combination of Netbooks, Laptops, Macbooks, iPads and alternative Android tablets. I like the idea of "BYOD" (Bring Your Own Device), more so than I like the idea of one particular type of device (Of any sort) being mandated. |

Can just see some kid getting hassled on the way home and end up getting his device nicked. |
