The extend volume grayed out in Windows 7 is because the unallocated space is behind the partition which you shrank but not the partition which you want to increase, and you could not move it to the end of the partition you want to extend, therefore, if you want to extend volume by the snap-in disk management, you could only delete the whole partitions which is behind the target partition.
The software Partition Assistant which was recommended by "wainuitech" looks good, and it enable you to move partition. Here I find another tip of this software, you could use the function "Allocate free space" to quick allocate free space from one partition to another. Hope it could help you. |
