2012-07-23 00:54:00 | what sort of sound issues ?? too much background noise, too echo-y, sound cutting out or choppy, sounds like the other person is really far away, not loud enough, just hard to make out what the person is saying ?? (there's a reason Im asking) are you using using headset mics, laptops built in mics, desktop mics are the PC/laptops underpowered or doing to many other processes at the same time as you are trying to skype run an adsl speedtest & see what internet speeds are like are you doing video as well as sound ?? are the boardrooms fairly echoy anyway (ie no curtains etc to stop the sound bouncing around)

2012-07-23 02:15:00 | We are using a stereo for sound output which is above the camera as they want the camera at the projector end of the room so when you are looking at the camera you are looking at the skype client The camera is a logitech c920 and has built in mics Sound problems are feedback really as the speakers are at the top of the room and the mic is below It is hooked up to a desktop pc in a cabinet beside the projector screen Internet speeds are good (10Mb/s up and down) It is 90% video and sound sometimes they use the conference phone for sound The room is very echo-ey so not a great room but needs to work as it is 1 of 3 skype capable rooms room thinking about a wireless mic in the middle of the boardroom table?? maybe Photo of room attached 4018

2012-07-23 06:01:00 | What does work : single table mic + laptop/PC speakers in 'normal' small to med size office. Ive never tried in a room like that though. Move the mic away from speakers is a good idea, try & make the room less echo-y, curtains, paintings, sofa's, cloth covered room partitions around 2 walls. Even some sort of tablecloth on that table may help a bit See if there is any auto level adjust on the mic(ie in Windows) you can disable Another option is lapel mic's that are clipped onto each person, I cant imagine that being popular tho.... hope that helps a bit.

2012-07-23 07:05:00 | Put old 36 pack egg boxes all over the walls. I did a sound room for recording using those egg trays and they worked a treat. Gave them a spray paint after and it didn't look too bad but not ideal for a conference room. Some sort of Michael Angelo tile on the ceiling could dampen the echo a bit though.

HI 1101 yeah the individual mic option would be the best, but is there some sort of multiple mic interface as skype will only let you have one device selected Bluetooth also would be ok We are looking a a wireless bluetooth mic in the middle of the table for now and disable the camera mic |
