| 1289828 | 2012-07-21 10:59:00 | Just got this little ADSL modem, it's working fine but I do notice that it's running a bit hot, though. I'm comparing it with my old Thomson Speedtouch 536. Is anyone here having this device and would like to comment on this temperature issue? Cheers. |

I've been through two cheaper ones that struggled no end to work properly. One randomly disconnected from the internet and the next shut down altogether until it was power cycled. Took me months to figure out that was the cause because they were never under particularly hard load. After I got the netcomm though and nothing broke (though the internet connection would drop out occasionally, that was another issue as far as I'm aware) and have since gotten the Genius modem and crashed it transferring files over the network... i forget where I'm going with this. If it doesn't break, let it get warm. Not stupid hot but yes I imagine it would get rather toasty. |

| 1289834 | 2012-07-21 21:26:00 | Yeah i just dont see whats so hard about putting a little 80mm fan inside them. Although i guess there would be no place for my cat to sit on then. | Slankydudl (16687) | ||

I shudder to think how quickly my laptop's destined to cark it then, running anything strenuous on it can push it north of 70-90 degrees, even topping out at 102 degrees in summer for a little bit. |
