| 1266418 | 2012-03-22 21:53:00 | I can't see how it matters? The brothers were here when the white man arrived, and its these two parties that signed the treaty. |

| 1266419 | 2012-03-22 22:20:00 | There were Morioris. We all came from elsewhere, arrived, met others, or others arrived too, we mingled and began to call ourselves....x,y,z. This has happened over and over. So what's new? |

The treaty also recognises the bros claims by reason of their occupation at the time. I've posted before evidence of mass genocide (the collection of over 10K skulls), documented in the NZ Gazette - diary of the nation - no less. The murdered were not Polynesian people and having been eaten or otherwise disposed of, occupiers prior to the treaty naturally weren't given a look in. Worth repeating: "the brothers were here when the white man arrived, and its these two parties that signed the treaty." End of story. Sorry, ancient Egyptians, Celts, Asians, Spaniards et al. Too late. |

Marry into a Maori family and stake your claim to some NZ property that has already been developed you know you can get millions from (either a lump sum or/and continuing rent), then you'll be sweet. It is your customary right under the treaty to sit on your fat ass and do little to contributing to the country. 2. Go and sign up at your local Marae (you dont need to have any Maori connection but knowing how to do the haka and having a cultural tattoo may help) and become part of their tribe. You wont be turned down, the more members they can dig up, the more money they can bleed NZ tax payers for. You will also be entitled to rape the sea and foreshore of fish, breathe the air and drink the water as its your customary right under the treaty and then sit on your fat ass and do little to contribute to the country. "contributing to the country" does not include protesting, shooting the flag (or other people), jail time, burglary, rape, running organised gangs etc etc. Good luck with your quest. |

I have heard stories of of guys marrying a moaris girl so they get a prime duck shooting spot on moaris land. |

| 1266425 | 2012-03-23 01:11:00 | There seems to be a lot of evidence that the Maori were not the first people in New Zealand. The Maori (not sure about the Moriori may have been the first to settle here in numbers. I seem to remember reading this (www.kilts.co.nz) a while back. | Bobh (5192) | ||
