| 35024 | 2002-02-09 09:39:00 | I use WinAMP and I like it's visualisations... unfortunately they sort of get in the way, don't they? So I discovered how to set the visualisation on the desktop. It worked a beaut on my WinME system, but when I upgraded (whew! stay AWAY from winME!) I couldn't... I discovered it's because I need to disable 'active desktop'. I can do this easily in 9x but is it even possible in XP? What about a hack to get around it then? Or a visualisation that utilises active desktop? BTW, its XP pro. Thanks! |

At the bottom of that window click on 'Customize Desktop', and in the new window click 'Web', and in that screen you can activate or deactivate the active desktop. HTH Mike. |
