34991 2002-02-09 04:30:00 I have recently upgraded my computer with an Athlon 600 processor and a new motherboard. The system is working fine but I cannot get the floppy drive to work. The green light is on continually and when I try to use a floppy it comes up and says the system is not ready. Any ideas? Guest (0)
34992 2002-02-09 05:00:00 hi Ya, I had the same problem when I buitl my pc...Try to rotate the cable 180 degrees. I had the exact same problem as you, and it was just the cable hooked up the wrong way round.

Good Luck

34994 2002-02-09 09:23:00 Hi Wayne, I've seen this problem a few times. The green light constantly being on is the same in all these cases, so I'm guessing its the same thing. Try rotating ONE end of the floppy drive cable 180 degrees and plugging it in again. If you can't plug it in that way, rotate the other end instead.

HTH
